Space Pirate Zero

SPZ · the narrator on a feed that was supposed to be dead
AgeOld enough to have been sold three separate futures and to have taken notes on all of them.
HometownAtlanta — the DJ booth at the Vault, around 2003 — with an Irish grandmother's lilt underneath it, which is why a hotel in Belfast, decades and doors away, felt like coming home before he knew why.

The canonical SPZ headshot — raspy, punk, industrial-goth; a burned-out beacon with the pink/cyan rim. Never regenerated, never restyled (brand/spz/spz-headshot.png).

“Signal finds signal. Even when the signal is a ghost.”

The story so far

He found this whole season on a feed that was supposed to be dead — a dead broadcast leaking out of a dead machine, playing to nobody, playing for years. He doesn’t know who left it running. He has a guess. So will you, by the end, and you won’t like it.

He frames every tale with a cold open, closes each one with a sting, and never once steps into the story. He knows why the feed was dead. He keeps coming back to it at four in the morning anyway.

Carries
A dead transistor radio that still, sometimes, catches something
Everything worth hearing is on a channel somebody switched off on purpose. He has been that channel and he has been the listener, in that order.
Tell — Talks a little too fast, like he's outrunning the quiet. The lilt surfaces on the words he means.
